Reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources is responsible to manage the execution of all HR functions and planning the HR initiatives with the all the managers. Providing your knowledge in HR best practices, Employment Law and leveraging the resources of our HR consultants will be necessary to build around existing processes. You will have ultimate responsibility of communicating to the team new processes that will be put in place.


Roles and responsibilities include, but will not be limited to;

  • Ensure compliance with all Provincial and Federal regulation in all areas of HR
  • Implementation of policies and procedures and communication of policies to employees/managers
  • Involved in all aspects of recruitment and meet all staffing needs for employees at all levels
  • Develop position descriptions and job postings
  • Responsible for onboarding and orientation process of new employees
  • Involved in working with employees and managers to resolve employee relations and performance management issues, development of Improvement Plans as required
  • Assist with Pay equity to meet requirements
  • Responsible for benefits administration, Workplace Safety legislation and workplace accidents and prevention programs
  • Plan and coordinate training initiatives company-wide
  • Prepare various employee documentation including job descriptions, offers, various letters, HR related forms, checklist
  • Assist with performance review process as required
  • Be involved in planning company social activities
  • Act as the primary contact for day-to day HR requests
  • Back up payroll and other team members when required
  • All other relevant duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong work tenure: five to 10 years of experience
  • Experience and interest in internal and external communications, partnership development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
  • Proficient with HRIS and HRIS implementations
